Trust through plain honesty

We tell you what works today and what is still on the way

RoomHex has a working self-hosted real-time media core and an existing client app for calls and meetings. Much of the wider suite, from synchronized cinema and classroom to session intelligence and governance dashboards, is designed and on the roadmap. This page draws that line clearly, and we would rather under-claim than mislead you.

  • Working media core today
  • Honest roadmap
  • Self-hosted control
  • No invented evidence

How we talk about maturity

The rules we hold ourselves to

Trust is easy to claim and hard to earn. These are the commitments that shape every word on this site, so you can weigh RoomHex on evidence rather than promises.

We separate working from designed

When a capability is running, we say it works. When it is specified but not built, we say it is designed or on the roadmap. We do not present a planned feature as if it ships today.

No invented evidence

We publish no fake logos, certifications, uptime figures, or customer counts. Where we do not yet have evidence, we use neutral, honest wording instead of a number we cannot stand behind.

You keep control

RoomHex is built to run on infrastructure your organization operates, so your data and media stay inside your boundary and access is reviewed and provisioned, not open to public signup.

Security we can show

The working media core uses secure admission for every session and a fail-closed posture, with no paid third-party service in the runtime path. We describe security by what the code does, not by slogans.

Access is reviewed

Before a deployment or demo, we talk with you about fit and needs. There is no instant account or self-checkout, which lets us match RoomHex honestly to where it stands today.

We disclose openly

We welcome security reports and aim to answer them promptly and in good faith. When we learn something matters to your safety or data, our policy is to tell affected customers rather than stay quiet.

What is working today

A real self-hosted media core and an existing client app

This is the part of RoomHex you can rely on now. A self-hosted real-time media core carries low-latency audio and video, and an existing client app already handles calls and meetings. We describe it plainly because it is real, not because it sounds good.

  • Self-hosted low-latency audio and video with secure admission for every session
  • Relay fallback for hard networks and reconnect handling when a link drops
  • An existing client app with one to one calls, meeting rooms, join approval, participant grid, chat, raise hand, and screen share
  • Fully self-hosted operation with no paid third-party service in the runtime path

What is designed and coming

A broad roadmap we are honest about

Much of the wider RoomHex suite is well specified but not yet running. We put it on the roadmap here so you know the direction without mistaking a plan for a product. Auditability, deployment review, and organization governance sit in this group.

  • Synchronized cinema and structured classroom are designed, not yet shipping
  • Organization and branch governance dashboards are designed for tiered policy and delegated administration
  • Auditability is designed to record session activity and produce evidence outputs for review
  • Content-owner protection is designed to defend shared media against end users, described modestly, never as absolute
  • Deployment review with us precedes any rollout, so expectations match what is ready

Responsible intelligence and privacy

Planned intelligence that stays inside your boundary, with human review

Session intelligence, meaning captions, translation, transcripts, and summaries, is designed and on the roadmap. It is planned to run inside the customer boundary, provider-neutral, with a person reviewing output before it is trusted. Dubbing and translation are planned to respect content-owner rights, and privacy is treated as a default, not a setting.

  • Planned to run inside your own boundary, with no external provider named or required
  • Human review before any generated caption, translation, or summary is trusted
  • Dubbing and translation are designed to respect content-owner rights and consent
  • Privacy by design, keeping communication and any transcripts within your infrastructure
